How to Find New Music

One of the most difficult things about being a new music fan is finding the best new music to listen to. I had my own personal struggles when it came to finding out when artists were dropping their albums or singles. After a few years of searching I have found the best (or at least my favorites) sources for music updates.

2020 Album Update

We are a few months into the 2020 year and a lot has happened. Unfortunately, the year did not start of great. The Covid-19 outbreak has put a damper on the beginning of our year, but good music will not be stopped.

5233ok Postpones Album

With all of the recent Covid-19 events circulating, bad news like this is not at all surprising. For 5233ok, staying home has made it very difficult to work on his upcoming album Oliver Grape.

The aspiring pop star has relied heavily on borrowed equipment to make music. Equipment that he has not been able to work with since the closing down of Nicholls Campus.

“I don’t have any good microphones at my place. The sound quality wouldn’t be too great if I did anyway.”

The album was supposed to be released to all streaming platforms in early April. However, the new release date is currently up in the air.

Live Streaming Concerts

Artists and bands have resorted to using social media platforms for impromptu concerts (from home). Because of the Coronavirus outbreak, most concerts were forced to be cancelled. To keep spirits high, a lot of these artists have set up concerts on Instagram live for their fan base.

Be on the look out for your favorite musicians on Instagram. They may be the next to follow in this trend.
